The Christmas Story

Central Truth: God gave his only son to save the world.

"The entrance of your words gives light." Psalms 119:130

Scriptures: Matthew 1-2; Luke 1-2

In today's lesson, the children learned about the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. They learned about the virgin pregnancy, the birth of Jesus in a stable, the shepherds, and the wise men. The children also learned how God spoke to Joseph in dreams so that he could protect baby Jesus.

God Knows Me! Psalms 139

A fun project the children did for Sunday School was to color a mini-book called God Knows Me! that I found on online. I printed off the pages, cut them out, and stapled them together. Then the children colored the pages. The following are books created by the class:

Destinee's book:

Zach's book:

Jacob Deceives Isaac

Central Truth:  The born-again Christian must control his flesh.

"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh." Galatians 5:16

Scriptures: Genesis 25:21-34; 27

Jacob and Esau are the twin sons of Isaac. From their birth, they struggled with each other. In this lesson, the children learned how Esau despised his birthright and sold it for a bowl of porridge, and how Jacob deceived his father and claimed Esau's birthright.
